July 10-17, 2007

Boise, Idaho, USA

This site will be continually updated as new information is obtained. For now please visit the Links page to see some of what the area has to offer.

The National Stereoscopic Association ("NSA") is a non-profit organization whose goals are to promote the study, collection and use of stereographs, stereo cameras and related materials; to provide a forum for collectors and students of stereoscopic history; to promote the practice of stereo photography; to encourage the use of stereoscopy in the fields of visual arts and technology; to foster the appreciation of the stereograph as a visual historical record, and to provide for the Oliver Wendell  Holmes Stereoscopic Research Library.

The purposes of the International Stereoscopic Union ("ISU") are to provide an organizational framework for the universal promotion of stereo photography and other forms of 3-D image viewing; to provide social and professional association for the membership; to provide opportunities for the development of improved stereographic practice and skills; and to provide a framework for the dispersal of stereographic educational and informational materials. These purposes are accomplished by holding biennial ISU Congresses, regular publication of the journal Stereoscopy, and by forming and maintaining communications with organizations of similar intent and the promotion of activities to achieve the objectives of the Union.

OFFICIAL LOGO

The winning logo (seen above in L/R parallel stereo) was designed by Terry Wilson with Ray Zone providing the 3D conversion. My heartfelt thanks go out to Terry and Ray for such a fine job - David W. Kesner, Chair.

If you wish to use this logo in your newsletters or other announcements please click on the following links (left click to open or right click to save). The files are in tiff format with the color files being about 1 meg each and the B&W files being about 500k each. If you need to have a B&W version please use the B&W left or B&W right files and do not do a a grey scale conversion on your own. Terry has carefully rebalanced the image for B&W presentation.

NEW ADDITIONS

An MS Excel spreadsheet listing all the attendees and where they are from is now available. It is sorted by country, state/province, city, last name, and first name. All information was taken from registration forms so no promises are made as to the accuracy of spellings or other information. If no information was provided by the attendee a question mark (?) was placed in the column. This list is meant for informational purposes only and cannot be used for marketing, contact, or any other purpose. (Note: If you don't have Excel, download Microsoft's free Excel viewer; save the file and view it in OpenOffice or as a Google Documents spreadsheet; or view the pdf (coming soon)).

Terry Wilson has set up a Cafepress store to sell clothing and other items with the official logo on it. Please visit this site: http://www.cafepress.com/nsa2007
